Where are processed files saved?+
New outputs save to Documents/lunaPDf by default. From Processed Folder in Settings, you can choose a different folder, restore the standard location or select Add Folder to Home screen. That shortcut opens lunaPDF’s dedicated, read-only Processed Files page.
Why are files from an older build missing from Processed Files?+
The Processed Files page reads the folder selected by the current installation and lists PDFs only. If an older build used a different or custom folder, select that exact folder again from Processed Folder in Settings so Android can restore access.
Does lunaPDF upload my documents?+
No. PDF and image processing stays on your Android device. Smart scanning is supplied through compatible Google Play services and its scanner component may need to be installed or updated.
Does lunaPDF display advertising?+
The current test build can request Google banner ads in a separate banner area after the applicable consent flow. The advertising service may process device and advertising data, but lunaPDF does not provide your PDF contents, filenames, passwords, signatures or annotations to it.
Does lunaPDF add its name or website to my PDF?+
No. Version 1.0.1 does not add a developer footer, watermark, attribution or promotional website link to PDF outputs. A footer already embedded by an older test build remains part of that existing PDF.
Why did Compress PDF save nothing?+
lunaPDF keeps a compressed output only when the completed file is smaller than the source. If no useful reduction is possible, it reports that the PDF is already optimised and avoids saving a larger copy.
How do I annotate a scanned document?+
First use Searchable PDF to add an invisible text layer. Then open the result in Read & Annotate to select text and apply highlight, underline, strike-through or comments.
Why do the annotation controls stay visible while I change pages?+
After the first valid text selection makes the annotation actions appear, version 1.0.1 keeps them visible across every page until you leave Review File. Clearing the selection or applying no action does not hide them.
Can I take a screenshot inside the app?+
No. Screenshots, screen recordings and recent-app previews are blocked while lunaPDF is visible to reduce accidental disclosure of documents.
What is included in an error report?+
Only the affected tool, a safe error code and basic app, Android and device details. The report excludes PDF content, filenames, paths, passwords, signatures and annotations.
What happens when I select Contact Support?+
lunaPDF shows optional guidance about useful details, then opens your email app with a blank email to support. It does not automatically add a subject, message, attachment or device information.
