Local document processing
lunaPDF processes PDFs and images locally on the Android device. lunaPDF does not operate a document-upload server and does not intentionally transmit PDF contents, filenames, passwords, signatures or annotations to the developer.
Smart Scanner
The Smart Scanner is supplied through compatible Google Play services. Google Play services may need to install or update its document-scanner component before first use. lunaPDF also provides photo import when the smart scanner is unavailable.
Temporary working files
Temporary working files may be created in private app cache for PDF rendering, unlocking, compression, scanning, output validation and optional safe error-report images. Sensitive temporary files are removed after normal use and stale sensitive cache folders are cleaned when the app starts. Android may retain app-private cache after an unexpected process termination until the next app start or system cleanup.
Optional support reports
If the user chooses Send error report, lunaPDF prepares a support email containing the affected tool, a safe error code and basic app, Android and device details. PDF contents, filenames, file paths, passwords, signatures and annotations are excluded.
The user may separately choose to attach a newly generated image containing only the safe error message. lunaPDF does not capture the PDF screen or background. Nothing is sent until the user completes the action in another app.
Local app data
Recent-file entries and the user's selected Processed folder are stored locally in app preferences. Inaccessible entries are pruned automatically. Android backup is disabled. The app does not include advertising, analytics, account creation or a remote PDF-processing backend in this release.
Website links in generated PDFs
Generated PDF pages include a visible link to www.LunaSmartApp.com. The app does not open that website automatically. If a user chooses the link, the device's browser handles the website connection under the browser's and website's applicable privacy practices. Sanitized outputs retain the printed website address without adding a new active link annotation.
This website
This website does not accept PDF uploads and does not process documents. The current site contains no advertising or analytics code and does not provide account registration.
